Dancing between split moonbeams
Life is like a dream
Wreathed in silvery streams
My heart aches inside its home
I know not what more it wants.
Rain drops in misty showers
I make an umbrella with my hands
But life leaks in with damning demands
I try my best to be there
But many moments I find myself elsewhere.
Still, I smile for the people worthwhile
I comfort them with the tenacity to dare
Maybe my dreams are delusions veiled
I cannot believe that I have failed
For dared to be all a human could.
Love settles like dust in a pond
At the bottom following a gentle song
It embraces everything beneath its wings
A heavenly sight that incites me to sing –
But my voice cracks
I can see the seams
Nothing is
Quite as it seems.
Ah, to live life
With ethereal dreams.
